CODY, Wyo. (AP) — Roads to Yellowstone National Park's most popular locations will be closing as the park beings preparation for the winter season.

The Cody Enterprise reports that the park will close most of its roads to vehicle travel on Monday. The road from the park's north entrance through Mammoth Hot Springs to the park's northeast entrance is the only exception and will remain open.

The park will begin preparing the roads for guided snowmobile and snowcoach travel beginning Dec. 15. The Montana communities near Yellowstone, including Cooke City, Silver Gate and Gardiner remain open all year.
