Rumor: Albertsons Talking Merger With Sprouts

This is just a rumor, but it's a rumor coming from a major publication. Word is there are merger talks between Albertsons and Sprouts.

This possibility was recently shared by none other than Forbes. The article mentions increased competition among grocery stores causing this kind of discussion.

The bigger question is what would it mean if it happens. According to Forbes, there's a chance that some Albertsons could become Sprouts stores.

I had never heard of Sprouts before, but I don't leave my house much. I checked their website and it seems their focus is on healthy stuff. That probably explains why I hadn't heard of them.

When I tried to locate a Sprouts store, it looks like Vegas is the closest they currently are to the Magic Valley.
