BOISE, Idaho (KLIX) St. Luke's Health System says it will not allow anyone to carry a Samsung Galaxy 7 Note phone in its facilities.

The health care provider made the announcement Monday due to fire risks associated with the batteries. The ban includes all facilities and extends to employees, patients, and visitors.  People will be notified about the prohibition with signs at appropriate locations.

Owners have been told to power down the Galaxy Note 7 and call the retailer for an exchange or refund. In October the Department of Transportation banned travelers from carrying the phone on any US flight.
