KETCHUM, Idaho (KLIX) – Santa Claus, as busy as he is this time of year traveling the globe, has put it on his schedule to make a couple of stops in the Wood River Valley before Christmas Day.

He plans to visit for two annual Christmas tree lightings in early and mid-December.

Santa will first visit the Ketchum Christmas Lighting Ceremony on Dec. 7 at Town Square, where he’ll come by way of fire truck sleigh. If you attend the event, not only will your little ones have the chance to see Ole Saint Nick, but you can warm up with hot cider, cocoa and cookies.

Next, Mr. Claus will visit the Sun Valley Christmas Tree Lighting 10 days later, on Dec. 17, at Sun Valley Resort. Besides Santa, the Valley Carolers will attend the ceremony to make it merry with holiday songs.
