Word has it that Warner Bros. is shopping around for a director for a 'Minecraft' movie and has eyed 'Night at the Museum' director Shawn Levy.

According to Deadline, Warner Bros. is in talks with Levy to direct the blocktastic depiction of Mojang's immensely popular Minecraft game. Mike Fleming, Jr. said, "Levy is good at shaping high concepts into hit films," citing a few of his most recent films such as 'This Is Where I Leave You', the 'Night at the Museum' series, 'Real Steel', 'Date Night' and the newly opened 'Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day'.

We could see Levy taking the blocky world of Minecraft and translating all of its Creepers, Endermen and Skeletons to the big screen pretty well, along with Roy Lee and Jill Messick producing. Lee was producer on 'The Lego Movie', so we're confident these names can bring our favorite blocks to life.

But we probably won't see the 5 Best Minecraft Mods in the movie. Oh well.
