IDAHO FALLS, Idaho (AP) — Bonneville County authorities say they have arrested a man who bit a victim, and then attempted to bite a deputy who had been trying to restrain him with handcuffs.

The Post Register reports (http://bit.ly/1GGpdT6 ) that 33-year-old Matthew Wade, of Shelley, was booked into the county jail Friday. He is facing several charges, including battery and resisting arrest.

Sheriff's office spokesman Sgt. Jeff Edwards says a deputy responding to a disturbance call had arrived to find three people struggling to hold down Wade, who had bitten one of the victims.

As the deputy was trying to arrest Wade, the suspect reportedly tried to bite the deputy. Edwards says the biting victim was let with a visible mark on his arm.
