If you like the idea of playing a video game in a virtual world that looks a lot like the actual world you live in, you will probably love a new PS4 game that Sony just announced at E3, the big gaming expo.

Before you watch the video, a word of warning. This is a game about a bleak post-apocalyptic world and it's hyper-violent.

The game is called "Days Gone" and it is set in a fictional Idaho/Oregon/Washington state type of area. It's an open world survival game, meaning you can go just about anywhere you want. The difference between our real world and the one in "Days Gone" (we hope) is this video game world is full of zombies.

Here's the description of the game from Sony's official site:

Set in the beautiful, volcanic scarred high-desert of the Pacific Northwest, Days Gone is an open-world action-adventure game where you play as Deacon St. John, a Drifter and bounty hunter who would rather risk the dangers of the broken road than live in one of the “safe” wilderness encampments. The game takes place two years after a global pandemic has killed almost everyone, but transformed millions of others into what survivors call Freakers – mindless, feral creatures, more animal than human but very much alive and quickly evolving.

Before you watch the video, a word of warning. This is a game about a bleak post-apocalyptic world and it's hyper-violent. Gruesome doesn't even begin to describe it, so if you're disturbed at the thought of seeing stuff like that, don't click that play button on the video above.
