TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KLIX) – Twin Falls Police Chief Craig Kingsbury was honored Tuesday evening for his one-year anniversary in the community.

Kingsbury, who worked in Nampa before relocating to Twin Falls, was presented with his Oath of Office at the City Council meeting.

The police department started a tradition about five years, Deputy City Manager Brian Pike told the council. The tradition was giving officers their Oath of Office on their one-year anniversary.

Kingsbury has demonstrated commitment to ideals that have benefited the department and community, Pike said.

“Thank you for your dedication,” he said.

Kingsbury thanked the department, council members and community, saying it was hard for him to believe he has already been in the city a year, "but it has been a year,” he said, noting that he looks forward to many more years with the department.

“It’s been an honor,” Kingsbury said.
