Connecticut Elementary School shooting

Today at 9:30 AM marks one week exactly since the senseless murders at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut.  When it was all over, twenty-seven were dead.  Twenty of the dead were children.

In the wake of the horrific killings at Sandy Hook Elementary School last week, Americans across the country are wondering how they can aid the families of the victims. There are numerous methods to donate money, but you also can help in other ways, such as volunteering your time, writing a card or letter, or sending a teddy bear to a child in Newtown.

Gov. Butch Otter ordered flags at the Idaho Capitol and other state buildings to be flown at half-staff until Tuesday, following a similar order from President Obama given out of respect for victims of a mass shooting at a Connecticut elementary school...

How do you explain the unexplainable to children? Today, parents across the country, including myself, were faced with this  -- fumbling over words while explaining the shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown - located only 20 miles away from my own daughter's elementary school.

Is it wrong that I'm sad the Connecticut shooter is already dead?  While I would love an opportunity at him, I'm sure the grieving mothers, fathers, siblings, friends, and other family members deserve that much.  An eye-for-an-eye.
