If you think your job is tough, try being a school superintendent. How would you like to be the person making the judgment call on whether or not it's a snow day? The process is more difficult than you think.

It's a rare occasion that the Twin Falls School District needs to call for one snow day, let alone two. That got us to wondering, when was the last time Twin Falls Schools had consecutive snow days?

Magic Valley kids beg, pray and plead for snow days. When schools actually close kids are delighted! Parents don't always share their enthusiasm.

This morning the roads and my car were both covered in ice. I discovered ice windows this morning.

On Tuesday, kids in the Haywood County school district in North Carolina got some great news.  SNOW DAY.  You’re off today.  Life is good. It was quickly followed by a kick in the face about as hard as you could ever get.  In what seems to be an effort to be the most hated school district ever, Haywood rescheduled that school day . . . for SATURDAY.
