Classic rock lovers tuning into Game 1 of the World Series last night (Oct. 24) were greeted with a surprise. The legendary music of the Who was used throughout the telecast, which will continue throughout the tournament, contested this year between the San Francisco Giants and the Detroit Tigers.

This year Whovember follows October on the mod calendar. Fans of the Who will be able to purchase four separate collections of the band's music ranging from live performances to their debut record to all of their albums on vinyl. For the first time fans can also own the songs the classic rockers performed at the 2012 London Olympics.

A full 15 years after it was announced, Pete Townshend's memoir, 'Who I Am,' arrives on bookstore shelves today (Oct. 9) -- which, for Townshend, means reliving the 2003 legal troubles that he's always insisted stemmed from research he was doing for the book.

The Who's Pete Townshend's image took a bit of a hit back in 2003 when he was investigated for downloading child pornography, and the guitar great is now taking the opportunity to address the scandal, stating that he was the product of "white knight syndrome."

Cleopatra Records, who recently put out a collection of progressive rock stars performing Supertramp songs, will next set their sights on the the Who. On Oct. 2, the label will release 'Who Are You: An All-Star Tribute To The Who.'
