For whatever reason, I became curious about exactly how dangerous the volcanoes are that are somewhat close to Idaho. I learned several things that made me sorry that I ever researched this stuff in the first place.

I must admit that I laughed out loud when I first saw this. But, not in a "wow, that's really funny" kind-of-way. It was more of a "doesn't that just figure" kind of laugh. There's a report that spring weather will be arriving early for much of the country, except (you guessed it) Idaho.

We get small earthquakes all the time thanks to our proximity to Yellowstone. But, a stronger than usual earthquake has just struck east of Pocatello. Welcome to Monday.

We share earthquakes with you all the time. Most are small quakes near Yellowstone, since that's more or less normal there. But, did you know that there have been a swarm of quakes north of Twin Falls over the last two weeks?

The point where most of us cross from Idaho to Utah when we're traveling has just been hit with an earthquake.

The USGS registered two relatively strong quakes off the coast of Oregon on Sunday. Both were located near the Blanco Fracture Zone.

We're accustomed to seeing earthquakes near Challis or in southeastern Idaho. But, today, there has been an earthquake in Northern Idaho.

The earthquakes are getting a little too close for comfort. An earthquake just happened to the west/northwest of Soda Springs, Idaho.

You might want to make sure your good china is being kept in a safe place. We've had two earthquakes in Idaho today. Reason to panic? Not so much.

There was a rather small earthquake today that would normally not be worth mentioning except for the fact that this happened in a very famous place. It occurred just to the south of Old Faithful in Yellowstone National Park.

The USGS has reported that a somewhat strong series of earthquakes have been reported to the east of Salt Lake City today. The largest quake so far has registered a 4.0 according to initial reports.
