Twin Falls, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KSVT-TV ) - More information has been released following an accident that claimed the life of a 14 year old Twin Falls teenager. The accident on Friday December 12 occurred around 7:45p.m. in the 100 block of 7th Avenue North. Police say a 2002 Dodge Intrepid was traveling westbound on 7th with two 14 year old females, seated on top of the trunk, as the vehicle was in motion.

Authorities say that Bailey Wallace, 14, fell from the vehicle and struck the asphalt. She was transported to Primary Children’s Hospital in Salt Lake City via Air St. Luke’s and later succumbed to her injuries. The driver of the vehicle, identified as Anastasia Howes, 17, was charged with Careless driving.

During the investigation of the accident, police say they investigated the rumors that the females were “car surfing”. During the investigation, police say there was no evidence produced to support the claim. The two females were seated on the trunk of the vehicle in motion.
