It looks like Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor, Warner Bros. Interactive's upcoming action game set in J.R.R Tolkien's Hobbit-inhabited world, will have continued support after its release in the form of downloadable content. Those who want everything will want to snag the season pass early on, as it grants access to numerous new batches of content -- some of which will tie more directly to Peter Jackson's cinematic take on Tolkien's story.

Destructoid reports that Mordor will have plenty of downloadable content. The season pass will contain the Guardian of the Flaming Eye Orc Warband mission, the Trials of War challenges and two new story levels -- Lord of the Hunt and The Bright Lord. In addition to this healthy helping of missions, Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor's DLC packs will offer new character upgrades, runes, challenge maps and more.

Warner Bros. Interactive stated that this season pass not only covers the currently announced DLC, but future content as well, so you'll be sure to get plenty of bang for your buck should you decide to plunk down your hard-earned coin. Whether or not Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor is worth your coin, however, remains to be seen until it launches for Xbox 360, Xbox One, Playstation 3, Playstation 4 and PC on Sept. 30.
