Toddler Drowns in West Idaho Canal

BOISE, Idaho (AP) — An 18-month-old boy who fell into a canal in southwest Idaho has died.

The Ada County Sheriff's Office says deputies responded at about 1 p.m. Monday to a home on Ten Mile Road following a report of a boy who fell into a canal. Officials say paramedics attempted life-saving measures and took the boy to a hospital where he died a short time later.
