JACKSON, Wyo. (AP) — The popular trail around the south end of Jenny Lake in Grand Teton National Park has been reopened after being closed for renovation work.

Park spokeswoman Jackie Skaggs says crews were able to complete the work a month ahead of schedule in spite of wet weather. The Jackson Hole News & Guide reports  that hikers had been able to make the same trip around the lake using a detour trail farther from the lakeshore. But Skaggs says not every trail in the area is open.

The trail that connects Hidden Falls to Inspiration Point will be closed for most of the summer as crews replace two wooden bridges that span Cascade Creek and improve the steep and rocky trail to Inspiration Point. Alternate routes are available.
