Unless you were living under a rock or maybe hiding under one, the Magic Valley had one heck of a lightning storm Monday night. Judging by the number of lightning pics on Instagram today, many of you were documenting the experience.

First, here's a quick disclaimer. Don't go outside during a lightning storm unless you would potentially enjoy having 5 billion joules of energy cause your skin to explode. Even if it doesn't look like a storm is close to you, lightning can zap you from just about anywhere.
