It might be a good thing if you are pulled over during the holidays by a Twin Falls County deputy. Instead of a warning or a ticket, they might just hand you cash.

Twin Falls County Sheriff Tom Carter gave deputies twenty $50 bills to hand out randomly over three days during the week leading up to Christmas.  The money came from funds raised by the deputies and from donations.  “We wanted to take a moment to make a positive difference in the lives of those we serve, in whatever way we could.” said Sheriff Carter.

Carter thought it would be a great idea in light of tensions nationwide between police and the public.  Carter also wanted the residents and visitors of Twin Falls County to know that the professional team of deputies and staff are committed to enhance the safety, security and quality of life for the people they serve.

If you decide you want to reenact a scene from The Fast And The Furious, you will get a ticket. However, if you're on your best behavior, the Twin Falls County deputies may help you with your holiday shopping.
