Twin Falls, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KSVT-TV ) - A Twin Falls woman is facing Grand Theft charges after a convenience store claimed an employee was stealing merchandise.

Chelsei M. Hansen and her husband Max, were charged with the felony on February 27, 2015. According to court records, on August 5, 2014 Police were sent to Twin Stop Chevron, 506 Blue Lakes Blvd. North after the manager reported she witnessed Hansen and her husband stealing merchandise.

Surveillance video showed Hansen preparing a grocery bag behind the counter and place merchandise from the store into the bag. When police approached her, authorities say she admitted to stealing merchandise and even listed the items that her and her husband would steal.

She then wrote out her own statement saying that the theft had been ongoing for about a year, stealing food and drinks. The police report said that Max claimed the store “did not treat Chelsei Hansen fairly.”

According to the report, the inventory list provided by the manager at the convenience store indicated the total retail cost of the items taken by both parties was over 34-hundred dollars.  The paperwork provided by the store dated from January 1, 2013 through August 5, 2014.  Both have a preliminary hearing set for March 13, 2015.
