Twin Falls Shows Off Their Math Skills On 98.3 The Snake’s Facebook Page [RESULTS]

Back in February on the nineteenth of 2013, I posted this math problem (above) on 98.3 The Snake's Facebook Page.  What happened next drove a lot of you crazy!  So Twin Falls, lets find out how well you did on this math problem.

Here is what a LOT of you did, including myself at first:

You completed the math problem from left to right leaving you with D. 56.

This is incorrect because of Order Of Operations.  Remember that from grade school?  I remember "Please Excuse My Dear Aunt Sally":

• P =s Parenthesis
• E ='s Exponents
• M ='s Multiplication
• D='s Division
• A='s Addition
• S ='s Subtraction

All I know, is my husband will have to be the one who helps our kids with their math homework.  I will teach them everything I know about public speaking and Facebooking.  :-)
