JEROME, Idaho (KLIX) Two Jerome men are in the hospital tonight after a tire blew out on their SUV on Interstate 84 near Jerome. Idaho State Police say at around 1:30 p.m.  Serafin Martinez, 27, was driving west in a mid-90's Ford Explorer when a rear tire blew. The SUV went into the media, rolled across the eastbound lanes and stopped on the shoulder. Martinez and his passenger were both wearing seatbelts. The passenger, Javier Tovar, age 21, was flown by air ambulance to a Boise hospital while Martinez was taken by ground ambulance to Twin Falls. Eastbound I-84 was closed for about an hour while ISP, Jerome County Sheriff, and Jerome Police cleared the crash.
