TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KLIX)- Two New Mexicans were taken to the hospital after colliding with a semi-tractor trailer on Sweetzer Summit on Interstate 84.

According to Idaho State Police 21 year old Callum Read of Albuquerque and 20 year old Lily Hawley of Carson were taken by ground ambulance to Cassia Regional Medical Center in Burley. Police say Read was driving a Toyota pickup pulling a small trailer heading east when he lost control and crossed the median into the westbound lanes at around 7:45am Tuesday.

That is when a semi-truck hit the pickup. The semi driver 31 year old Paul Curch-Doyle of North Port Florida was not injured. The interstate was closed for about an hour. The crash is under investigation.
