DECLO, Idaho (KLIX) – A two-week closure at Interstate 84’s Declo interchange will begin Monday.

The westbound off-ramp, Exit 216, will close for reconstruction, according to the Idaho Transportation Department. The closure is expected to last for about two weeks.

The ramp work is in conjunction with construction of the I-84 Snake River twin bridges east of Burley and is being rebuilt to facilitate a second lane for traffic turning onto the intersecting highway.

During construction, westbound traffic will exit at the Heyburn interchange, Exit 211, to access Idaho 24 toward Rupert and U.S. 30 to Idaho 81 toward Declo. The westbound on-ramp and both eastbound ramps at the Declo interchange will remain open.

A 65-mph speed limit will remain in effect through the work zone, ITD says. There also is a 15-foot width restriction for oversized loads.
