TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KLIX)- Two men from Utah are behind bars in Idaho after running from police in a stolen Jeep and then on foot Wednesday night. According to the Twin Falls Sheriff’s Office 19 year old Kugar Alan Parrott, of Salt Lake City, Utah, is being held on charges of felony eluding and theft by possession of stolen property. 21 year old Lawrence Ramon Johnson, also out of Salt Lake City, is being held on charges of possession of a controlled substance and obstructing.

Authorities say a deputy witnessed a Jeep run a stop sign on 2nd Avenue South and Jerome Street and attempted to stop it a little after 9 p.m.. The Jeep Cherokee sped off down 3rd Ave South at a high rate of speed and without it’s lights on. When the Jeep came up on Shoshone Street the driver, Parrott, lost control and rolled the vehicle several times.

Deputies say Parrot and Johnson ran off on foot but were later apprehended. Johnson who was passenger in the Jeep had to be taken to the emergency room. Parrott, the driver, was taken in a patrol car. The pair were later released and placed behind bars. Authorities discovered the Jeep had been stolen out of Midvale, Utah. Plus, it had been involved in a hit and run crash earlier in the pursuit.
