I must admit that I didn't know this was a thing, but I do think it's a swell idea. There are many in Idaho who regularly go bikefishing. Yes, bikefishing.

It's not a complicated concept. You create a map of the best fishing areas in a general area, then you hop on a bike with your rod and reel.

The guys in the video above scoped out some prime areas near Driggs, Idaho. Ah, the Tetons are near there. Nice.

After some digging, I found a bunch of websites that show the best way to make this happen. BikePacking.com has some very useful tips including what bikes work best along with the fishing gear that's easy to pack.

Stay Wild Magazine has even gone as far as holding workshops to display all things bikefishing.

If you're willing to venture outside of Idaho, GoneBikeFishing.com documents the best places around the world.

All I know is I love bikes and I love fishing. Why not bring those worlds together?
