Ella from the College of Southern Idaho came in today to fill us in on what's happening both tonight and in the future at CSI:

Nationally-renowned concert pianist Del Parkinson returns to the CSI stage tonight.

  • Dr. Parkinson has performed many times at CSI and always brings out his fans. Here’s your chance to enjoy some favorite classics or introduce the kids to them. Tickets are just $5 each and available at the door. The show starts at 7 p.m. in the Fine Arts Theater tonight (9/19/14).

U-Pick Garden is Open!

  • Lots of vegetables and berries are still available at the CSI U-Pick garden, which is located on North College across the street from the Expo Center. The big items right now are eggplant, tomatoes, peppers, several kinds of squash. Pumpkins are on the way soon. You’ll also find red and golden raspberries. Call Dawn at 732-6401 for information on when to pick.

If you love food, get in on the Italian Buffet.

  • Tickets are on sale now for the Italian Buffet. This is an annual event by CSI’s Culinary Arts students and is easily one of the finest Italian dinners you’ll find. It’s from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 2 in the small cafeteria located inside CSI’s Desert building. $16 for adults and $8.50 for kids. Space is limited so it’s important to get your tickets in advance. Call Lauri at 732-6300.

Mask-Making Workshop - The Kids Will Love This!

  • Sign up your 8-11 year old for a mask-making workshop at the Herrett Center the afternoon of Saturday, Sept. 27. Space is limited in this fun afternoon workshop so sign up soon. The kids will learn about masks that other cultures around the world have made and then get to make their own. The masks will be on display at the Herrett Center throughout the month of October and then available for Halloween. Just a $3 materials fee. Call the Herrett Center at 732-6655 to sign up.
