Think about it, when was the last time you actually wrote in cursive?  For me, I wrote in my diary this morning, but I broke up with my paper diary.  I'm leaving it for an app.  The app is free, the paper is not.

Joking aside, the only time I use cursive, or handwriting in general is the off chance I actually have to write a check and when I sign a legal document.  Do I use cursive at work?  No!  I know how to write in cursive, but did I write it down on my resume and did it give me an edge over the competition to get this job?  Hell no!

This week, an Idaho lawmaker is pushing to make cursive a mandatory course at Idaho schools:

Rep. Linden Bateman of Idaho Falls says cursive writing promotes manual dexterity, boosts reading comprehension and enhances cognitive development. What’s more, if it disappears, the study of history will suffer — because people won’t be able to read diaries and other historical documents.

Needless to say I don't agree.  I read "The Diary of Anne Frank" back in the day and it was written in print and NOT cursive German.
