Southern Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KSVT-TV ) - Motorists driving Magic Valley roads this Monday morning faced some challenges thanks to the winter storm that continues to bring snow to the area.

Scanner traffic has police and rescue crews responding to many slide-offs. So far all are reporting non injury. Some notable include a school bus in Jerome that slid off the road two miles northwest of the city. In Twin Falls, Hankens Road was blocked at Kimberly Road when a car collided with a school bus at that intersection. Again no injuries but the road blocked as students were transferred to another bus. There were also numerous slide offs along the Clear Lakes grade outside of Buhl.

The Idaho Transportation department reports that a truck has jackknifed pulling a semi-trailer. The accident is between exit 147 and exit 155 on I-84, six miles east of the Bliss area. Eastbound traffic in that area is blocked due to the accident.

There are many slide-offs along the Interstate and the Idaho Transportation Department has labeled all major roads between the Magic Valley and Boise as difficult.

Idaho power crews are also on the scene of a power pole being struck in Twin Falls County. So far, no major outages have been reported. Idaho Power said there are six crews patrolling the lines today in case there is a problem

Weather forecasts are now predicting 2 to 4 inches of snow that should fall throughout the day. Motorists are being advised to drive carefully and be very mindful of the road conditions.
