The story of Grandma, Little Red Riding Hood and the Big Bad Wolf has gotten a lot more action-packed in this dark re-imagining of a timeless fairy tale.

GriN has unveiled many new details about Woolfe: The Red Hood Diaries. The Belgian indie studio has announced that they are taking their Steam Greenlight project over to Kickstarter to help crowdfund Little Red's adventure. GriN has also announced that Woolfe will be coming to next-gen consoles shortly after its PC release. The studio also released a developer diary that explains Red's origins. What's surprising to know is that Red Hood Diaries originally started off as a 3D tech demo which developer Davy Penasse submitted to help apply at GriN for a 3D artist position.

The story of The Red Hood Diaries a bit more flushed out than the old fairy tale. After the death of her father, Red started wearing a cape and went to war against B.B. Woolfe and his company, Woolfe Industries, which explains the platforming levels and enemies you must fight. Woolfe: The Red Hood Diaries launches in Q1 2015 for PC. As a part of the ID@Xbox program, Red Hood will also debut on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 sometime in Q2 2015.
