I've been married since May of 2012 and so far I've argued more with my husband then our entire relationship thus far.  This alleged "honeymoon period" is a bunch of crap.  We fight about money, we fight about chores, we fight about his mother.  We just keep fighting.

All this fighting is fine with me, but then other married people must have forgotten their own marriage.  They keep asking me about my wedded bliss.  It's NOT wedded bliss.  It's hard!  (That's what she said).  Couldn't resist.

I'm not the only one who thinks the "honeymoon period" is a sham.  SMH.com agrees:

''It's a little unexpected because the perception is that newlywed couples should be the happiest, but in reality that's not the case,'' she said.

What say you?  Did you experience wedded bliss your first year of marriage?
