Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice director Zack Snyder apparently has a superpower: The ability to know when radio DJs are talking smack about Aquaman.

Last week, after the on-air personalities on Detroit's sports-talk radio station The Ticket spoke somewhat disparagingly about the character, who will reportedly be played by Jason Momoa in the upcoming Batman V Superman, Snyder called in to school them about Aquaman's "cool abilities."

Here's what he said:

I guess people are like, what? Does he talk to animals? Because that seems like what he does. Or talk to fish or whatever?

But I think, you know, the cool thing is his trident. People don't realize that could actually cut the flesh of Superman if they came in contact. That's a thing that's in the canon.

He's super-strong, because, of course, he can zip at these super-deep depths, so when he comes up here, he's crazy strong.

Not to say he's in my movie or anything like that.

Snyder went on to say that Aquaman has "the potential to be badass" and also threatened the DJs that he'd be listening to the radio 24/7 while the movie's filming.

And if there's any doubt as to whether that was actually Snyder on the phone, his identity has reportedly been confirmed. Honestly, who else would make that phone call?

Maybe Geoff Johns.
