3.2 Magnitude Earthquake Rattles Eastern Idaho
SODA SPRINGS, Idaho (KLIX) An earthquake shook eastern Idaho early this morning near the town of Soda Springs. The U.S. Geological Survey reports the earthquake struck just 10 miles from the town to the southeast at around 3:46 a.m. The quake registered as a 3.2 magnitude, according to the USGS website. Then later at 8:29 a.m. seismologist measured a 3.1 very close to the same area. A smaller earthquake was registered early Thursday morning around 6:24 as a 2.7 magnitude close to where this morning's earthquake occurred. This after Park City, Utah was shaken by a similar size earthquake earlier this week. General area of the earthquake epicenter:
