Many Americans will be heading to the movie theaters this weekend to see a film based on a second civil war in the United States. Results from one survey of U.S. citizens found that a large percentage of us believe the possibility is very real. How prepared is Idaho if it happens?

How Likely is Another US Civil War

Call the idea paranoia, radicalism, nonsense, or any other word you want to throw out there, but the fear that another widespread, violent clash between our people is looming is widely supported by a lot of our fellow countrymen/women.

By now, most of you have seen the trailer for the movie Civil War, which hits theaters in the U.S. on April 12. The plot needs no explanation. I know a couple of people who think the country is going to implode in the near future. A YouGov survey seems to show that more Americans are in agreeance with this stance on the current social and political climate in America.

Call the idea paranoia, radicalism, nonsense, or any other word you want to throw out there, but the fear that another widespread, violent clash between our people is looming is widely supported by a lot of our fellow countrymen/women. Forty percent of the 1,500 American adults surveyed on this subject believed the country is already divided to the point that warning signs are obvious.

What's even more sobering is that the survey I speak of was taken almost two years ago. I believe that anyone who supports the division of America isn't American at all. Time will tell, but I hope cool heads prevail if the country reaches a near-boiling point.

How ready do you believe Idaho is?
