Are Idaho Winter Driving Courses A Complete Waste Of Time, Money?
Driving on snow and ice is a very real problem for many Americans. Some states including Idaho are now offering driving classes for people who are winter weather-challenged behind the wheel.
I'll admit it. I do not like driving in the winter. It's not that I can't navigate frozen and snow-covered roads without incident, it's just most of the other motorists around me are so aggravating that I'd rather not even bother with it.

Winter driving is situational. The amount of ice and snow factors in, the type of automobile factors in, the brand of tires...and so on. The number one thing I've noticed people don't do on winter roadways is slow the hell down. I've witnessed so many accidents during the winter months it's ridiculous, and speed is always the common factor.
I didn't know until this week that Idaho businesses were paying people to teach other people how to operate vehicles on frozen roads and highways. What's next, construction zone driving classes? Well, that would actually be beneficial.
If a person sucks at driving in winter conditions, would an hour behind the wheel with a stranger really be that life-changing? Idaho does offer winter driving classes for people who believe they can benefit from it and do less idiotic things behind the wheel when it's snowing.
