As Many Americans are currently glued to televisions nightly watching the National Basketball Association (NBA) playoffs, it's hard to believe that Los Angeles Lakers superstar Kobe Bryant's life and eight others were lost on a foggy morning more than four years ago in Southern California.

As many of you are aware, basketball icon Kobe Bryant, his 13-year-old daughter Gianna, and seven others perished in a helicopter crash just outside the city of Thousand Oaks on January 26, 2020. The four-year anniversary of that awful day recently passed, and while no known visual footage of the incident has ever been released publically, a few Southern California doorbell cameras picked up audio of the tragic accident and people from all over the world are still commenting on post chains.

I don't think the individual who shared the audio did anything wrong necessarily, but the faint sounds are still incredibly sad and have been listened to nearly three million times.

I've been watching a great deal of NBA playoff basketball lately. I grew up a Seattle Supersonics fan. In 2008, the franchise moved to Oklahoma City and are now known as "The Thunder." So, out of default, I've remained an OKC fan ever since.

Kobe Bryant's name comes up frequently this time of year during the playoffs as sports commentators, podcasters, and television show hosts start having the greatest of all time ("GOAT") discussions. It's still sad to this day when people discuss his legacy.

I don't think a lot of people are even aware that audio of the final moments of those passengers' lives was uploaded to sites such as YouTube years ago, and people are still mourning the loss of those nine souls aboard. I overheard some people talking about the subject the other day while watching a game at Applebee's and it was the first time I heard such content existed. I don't think the individual who shared the audio did anything wrong necessarily, but the faint sounds are still incredibly sad and have been listened to nearly three million times.

(Warning: Audio clip might be troubling for some)
