Yesterday, the motion picture depicting a world in which only one man remembers the Beatles, will be released digitally on Sept. 10, with Blu-ray and DVD releases coming Sept. 24.

In addition to the theatrical version of the film, Yesterday’s home video release will include extensive bonus material. An alternate ending, gag reel and 12 deleted scenes highlight a bevy previously unreleased footage. Additionally, live performance videos will showcase the film’s star, Himesh Patel, playing the classic tracks “Yesterday," “I Want to Hold Your Hand" and “Let It Be” at the famous Abbey Road Studios in London. A series of documentary shorts focusing on Patel, Ed Sheeran, Kate McKinnon and the friendship between director Danny Boyle and screenwriter Richard Curtis will also be included.

Yesterday premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival in May, before being released theatrically in the U.S. on June 28. At the time of the film’s debut, Boyle admitted the concept of a world without the Beatles was difficult to envision.

“It’s impossible to imagine it actually,” he explained to Variety. “They changed the world really. They were the first really to say, We want to concentrate on love and pleasure and music … we want to celebrate humanity. And they do that in a wonderful way.”

Despite mixed reviews, the film beat box office expectations in its opening weekend and has has seen steady returns since its release. Yesterday recently eclipsed $125 million at the global box office, a significant profit considering its reported $26 million production budget. The film's popularity also spurred increased downloads and streaming of Beatles music.
