Beer, Brats & Music: Oktoberfest Returns Northwest Of Twin Falls
The Old Boise Oktoberfest is returning this fall after a couple of year's absence. Tickets for this year's October event near the state capital are on sale, so right now is a great time to reserve lodging and finalize all the travel arrangements from the Magic Valley.
Like so many other beloved southern Idaho events, Covid-19 caused the cancellation of the Old Boise Oktoberfest. This year it's back and has a great lineup of bands, food vendors, beer tents, and activities and games for both kids and adults. The Old Boise Oktoberfest is Saturday, September 24, on 6th street between Main and Front Streets.
Bring the kids and stuff them full of bratwurst, pretzels, Reuben balls, shaved ice, and other goodies while you enjoy some great area bands performing traditional Oktoberfest music. For the adults, there will be numerous beer tents to grab a cold one and take in a crisp, October Saturday night in Boise. There will be plenty of room to dance, and Oktoberfest attire is also encouraged.
White Claw and Heyden Beverage will be handling the suds for the event, and it's a rain or shine celebration. Tables will be set up throughout the area to sit down and eat, and it's probably a good idea to pack a hoodie or blanket in a bag to take with you. There will also be $2,000 worth of gift cards given away by staffers at the event, according to the Oktoberfest website.
