No, not "Break Wind Day". Dads everywhere hold the jokes... and put away the air freshener.

Appropriately enough during this High Wind Watch for the Magic Valley, we take a moment to celebrate Big Wind Day! On this day in 1934, the highest natural wind gust was recorded at Mt. Washington Observatory at 231 miles per hour. The fact that it is at 6,288 ft may be a contributing factor to that speed, but does not nullify the record.

So, while we secure our trampolines, put our lawn furniture in a folded position against the side of the house, wait for nannies to blow by with their umbrellas,  remember it could be - and has been - worse.
