Boise Man Dies in Single-Vehicle Crash Near Lucky Peak Dam
Idaho State Police say one person is dead after a single-vehicle crash north of Lucky Peak Reservoir Wednesday morning.
Police said they were called to the crash on State Highway 21 in Ada County around 8:30 a.m.
During sometime early Wednesday morning, police said 52-year-old John Wood from Boise was driving a 1999 Dodge pickup southbound on the highway when he lost control of the truck. When Wood lost control of the truck, it went over the embankment and rolled before landing about 200 feet down the embankment. He died at the crash scene from his injuries.
When the crash happened, Wood was wearing his seatbelt.
The crash is still being investigated by the Idaho State Police.
