Can we ask what everyone has to be asking at least a little bit right now?

What is going on with Boise State football?

A win is a win, I get it--but the sizzle in this team seems missing and I just don't know how to feel about it. This week, starting Freshman quarterback Hank Bachmeier didn't hit the field. Perhaps thats the missing piece? It seems since Boise State's losing performance at BYU, the team just hasn't had what it LOOKED to have earlier in the season.

This week was no different, as an admittedly tough Wyoming team came to Boise to play the Broncos on the blue. Not only did Wyoming strike first with a touchdown, but the game wasn't ever NOT close. What Wyoming was able to do with a backup quarterback versus Boise State, at home, was saying a lot. It has been some time since Boise State had to take a game to overtime and that's exactly what happened on Saturday night. Boise State was only able to hit a field goal in overtime and lucky for the Broncos, Wyoming missed theirs to end the game victorious.

A handful of teams ahead of Boise State lost, luckily. This means there was space for the Broncos to move up--and they did--two spots.

Boise State, this week, is ranked #19 in both the AP and Coaches Polls. They trail Memphis and Cincinnati who are #18 and #17, respectively. Both of those teams need to be behind Boise State in order to keep major bowl game hopes alive.

Tuesday, we will update you on how the College Football Playoff Rankings look for Boise State.
