You can tell a lot about a person by a bumper sticker.
Bumper stickers are a way people visually support a lifestyle, an art, a sports team, or some other thing the vehicle's owner is passionate about. Depending on what a driver has stuck to their bumper or window, it can incite agitation, or inspire allegiance for fellow motorists sharing the roadway.
From sports and hobbies, to music and lifestyle promotion, bumper stickers are a form of advertising.
One Type Of Bumper Sticker--More Than All Others--Increases Chances Of Road Rage, Study Finds

A University of Cincinnati study recently found that one specific type of bumper sticker will increase a driver's chances of getting into some form of road rage with another driver. I bet you could figure out what type that is with your first guess.
I get the occasional thumbs up or thumbs down when people pass me on the road and see my sticker of Saquon Barkley leaping over a Philadelphia Eagles' logo. It's all in good fun, and I never get offended; some would argue I'm inviting confrontation by having it on my window.

The September 23, 2025, study, published by Frontiers, found that stickers supporting a specific political party are more likely to elicit a negative reaction from another driver. Politics is a very divisive subject in the present day United States, but it's still a person's right to put any sticker they want on their own automobile.
