Can You Identify This Strange Sound Recorded in Bonners Ferry, Idaho?

I have an idea of what I think this is but I wanted to know what you think this strange sound is that was recorded in Bonners Ferry, Idaho?

This video, that contains what are apparently animal sounds at a distance, was posted by James Standal in 2015. My guess is coyotes.  But I'm not out in the country often, so I thought I would run it by your more experienced ears and get your feedback. Leave a comment and let me know what you think this is.
