For the first time in close to a decade, one of the world's most talented groups of acrobats, contortionists and performers will be returning to southwest Idaho.

Canadian-based Cirque du Soleil is coming back to Boise for the first time since 2012, when they performed "Dralion," at the Taco Bell Arena. Cirque du Soleil is a Montreal entertainment company that travels primarily throughout North America, enthralling crowds with high-flying feats, vivid pageantry and stunning athletic demonstrations.

Cirque du Soleil's new show, "OVO," has already been seen by more than 5 million people worldwide since the production hit the road in 2016. The show is comprised from entertainers from all over the world, and will be stopping in Boise in February and March of 2020.

Performance dates are February 7 through March 1 of next year. The shows will be at the ExtraMile Arena in Boise. Tickets go on sale October 25, and begin at $35 for adults, with youth prices starting at $25.

Family packs of tickets are also available for sale. There are currently six performances in total.

"OVO," which means, "egg," is described on the website as a look into the insect world, filled with "biodiversity, beauty, action and moments of quiet emotion." More than 50 performers are needed to pull off the show.

A video preview of the performance is also available to view on the entertainment company's website. For more information about Cirque du Soleil's performance of "OVO," contact the arena box office at 208-426-1900.
