‘Entourage’ Trailer: The Gang Reunites For a Big Screen Adventure
The ‘Entourage’ trailer is here and it’s exactly what you’d expect from the cinematic continuation of the popular but divisive HBO show. With the series finale currently four years in the past, this offers fans their first look at Vince, Johnny, Turtle, Ari and the rest of the cast in quite some time. Have the past few years treated them well? You’ll have to check out the trailer for yourself.
An ‘Entourage’ movie was inevitable. Although the show faced its fair share of harsh critics during its eight season run, it delivered solid ratings and took home its fair share of Emmys and accolades. Plus, you just know that everyone involved in this show saw the box office receipts for the first ‘Sex and the City’ movie and decided that there’s probably enough room at the multiplex for another HBO show to make the leap to the big screen.
Uniting stars Kevin Connolly, Adrian Grenier, Kevin Dillon, Jerry Ferrara, and Jeremy Piven, the film is directed by original series executive producer and writer Doug Ellin. For better or worse, this means the movie will undoubtedly stick close to the spirit of the show. That should be your cue to either celebrate or run as fast as you can in the other direction.
Movie star Vincent Chase (Grenier), together with his boys, Eric (Connolly), Turtle (Ferrara) and Johnny (Dillon), are back…and back in business with super agent-turned-studio head Ari Gold (Piven). Some of their ambitions have changed, but the bond between them remains strong as they navigate the capricious and often cutthroat world of Hollywood.
‘Entourage’ will hit theaters on June 5, 2015. Do these fake Hollywood characters have what it takes to compete with some actual blockbusters? We shall see.
