PHOTOS: Over 3,000 Idahoans Attend Filer Christmas Celebration
A large number of southern Idahoans braved the cold weather Friday night and headed out to the fairgrounds in Filer for an annual toy drive and holiday celebration.
The 2025 Christmas in the Nighttime Sky celebration was held the day after Thanksgiving at the Twin Falls County Fairgrounds. The event, which was the 34th annual, featured live performances, a visit from Santa, a potato and chili dinner, bonfires, and a fireworks show.
The wind kicked up a bit on Friday night in the Magic Valley, which made this year's Christmas in the Nighttime Sky celebration a chilly one. For the first time in over three decades, the event was held at the fairgrounds eight miles east of Twin Falls.

I spent more than four hours volunteering my time on Friday at both gift drop-off locations and assisted with safety and bonfire management. There were more than a dozen staff-controlled firepits that provided warmth for families while KOOL 96.5 FM Christmas music played from a nearby stage.

One volunteer who was in charge of tracking attendees tallied over 2,300 who entered the food line, and it was projected that an additional 1,000 people entered the event but weren't counted. In all, approximately 3,300 folks took cars, buses, and trucks out to Filer between 5:30 PM and 7:30 PM for the annual celebration.
Did you attend the event? If so, how do you think it went?
