Fire Burning Near Wendell

It’s another day of smokey skies for the Magic Valley as a brush fire burns Near Wendell this afternoon. BLM says the fire started out as a fire in a borrow pit and has since spread. The fire is burning about 2 miles north of Wendell along highway 46.  The fire broke out at about 1:30 this afternoon. Besides the BLM and Wendell fire departments, the Hagerman and Gooding fire departments are also on scene.
