Flows from Magic Reservoir to End in October
SHOSHONE, Idaho (KLIX) Water delivery from the Big Wood Canal Company is set to end at the beginning of October. The canal company announced water from Magic Reservoir will be shut off on October 1, but that is depending on weather conditions. This past year Magic Reservoir had a record amount of runoff that flowed into it resulting in flows going over the spillway (see video below). Several reservoirs around southern Idaho had water flowing over their spillways that hadn't seen water in decades. Water levels at Magic Reservoir on September 14, were at 115,257, with 87 cubic feet per second of water flowing in and 694 cfs flowing out.
