Making it to the Super Bowl is something few football players actually get the opportunity to do. Following last weekend's victory over the Minnesota Vikings, a former running back for Boise State University now finds himself just days away from his chance to help bring a city its very first Super Bowl championship.

The Philadelphia Eagles have long been ridiculed by football fans for having never won a Super Bowl. The Eagles have won three league titles, in 1948,1949 and 1960, but all three happened prior to the creation of the Super Bowl, the first of which was played in 1967.

Jay Ajayi, who was a standout for the Boise State Broncos from 2012-2014, scored 55 touchdowns, and had more than 4,500 all purpose yards during his time playing in the state of Idaho. Just prior to getting drafted into the National Football League in 2015, Ajayi scored three touchdowns and helped lead Boise State to a victory in the 2014 Fiesta Bowl.

Ajayi will be the starting running back for the Eagles on Sunday when they face the New England Patriots in Super Bowl LII. The Patriots are currently favored by four points over Philadelphia.
