If you missed the recent Grammy Awards telecast or don't pay close attention to budding artists, you might not be aware that one of the most promising new recording figures attended college in southeastern Idaho. In 2020, Boone was a student at Brigham Young University-Idaho, in Rexburg, approximately 180 miles northeast of Twin Falls.

His single "Beautiful Things" was a monster hit in 2024 and spent several weeks on the American music charts. He also toured with Taylor Swift and has been signed to a major record label. Boone lost his chance on February 2 at winning the award for best new artist to Chappell Roan.
