The costume countdown for Idaho Halloween fans is on with roughly three weeks to go before most of the adult population will be either handing out candy, operating home-haunted attractions, attending parties, or sitting in the back bedroom streaming their favorite shows with the porch lights off and avoiding trick or treaters all together. There are a slew of new Halloween costumes that adults need to verse themselves on so they won't be completely clueless when that doorbell rings.

It's hard to believe Halloween is just 23 days away. It's still pushing 90 degrees in most parts of the western United States, so it doesn't feel like the typical fall, early October vibe. In our household, Beetlejuice will be represented well this Halloween as far as costumes are concerned.

From Australian breakdancers to sinister clown killers, trick-or-treaters who have just begun walking to those of high school age, many unfamiliar costumes will be worn throughout southern Idaho neighborhoods in a few days, so it's time to get to know them.

USA Today recently unveiled the Most Popular Halloween Costumes 2024 list for adults, teens, young kids, and toddlers. The new Terrifier film (part 3) will be released in theaters nationwide on October 11. "Art the Clown" will no doubt be a popular choice for gore fans. Australia's 2024 Olympic hopeful in breakdancing, "Raygun," is another popular character we can expect to see wandering neighborhoods in search of candy this Halloween. Even though her performance left a lot to be desired, she still became a household name and won over a lot of people worldwide for having the lady b%$#s to do what she did.

Here are other popular choices according to USA Today:

1. Lady Deadpool (as introduced in the new film)

2. Shrunken Head Bob (from Beetlejuice)

3. Dr. Doom (from Marvel)

4. Wolverine (X-Men)

5. Inside Out (Anxiety, Disgust, Anger, Envy)

(Warning: The Terrifier trailer might be disturbing for some)

How To Carve A BSU Broncolantern

For some people, there isn't a wrong time to show your team spirit and that is where the BSU Broncolantern comes in. It is part Halloween decoration and part 'my team is better than your team' decoration.
